The top 3 Winning Roulette Strategy

roulette strategy

Roulette and Lightning Roulette are immensely popular casino games and over the years there has been various Roulette Strategy that have been developed in order to beat the house. Roulette normally given fairly good odds to players, however, players should avoid American Roulette, which has a house edge of 5.4%, European Roulette has reasonable odds with a house edge of 2.7%. But, French Roulette which has house edge of 1.35% offers bettors the best odds at the table, and where possible, if incorporating one of the top 3 Roulette Strategies, it should be on French Roulette.

The Martingale System

The most popular roulette strategy is the Martingale system. This method sees a player betting on outside bets, (red or black/odd or even/low or high) which pays 1:1. After each losing bet, the player doubles the original bet until they win. So, you have just under a 50% chance of winning at each spin taking into account the house edge. Therefore, this is an excellent method, as eventually, in theory you will be guaranteed to win.

Although this roulette strategy is very popular, there are disadvantages. This includes doubling each bet, after a series of losing bets, the bet size can get very large, and your overall reward will be very low. Furthermore, roulette tables will have minimum and maximum bet sizes, if you continue to double the bet, eventually you will reach the table limit, and can no longer keep doubling the bet.

The Martingale System

The Fibonacci System

The Fibonacci System is named after the Italian mathematician; Leonardo Fibonacci. It is a gambling sequence, which adds the previous two numbers to decide on the next betting unit. This is similar to the Martingale System as you increase the betting size with each losing bet and you bet on even money type bets.

The Fibonacci system
Fibonacci, also know as Leonardo Bigollo Pisano

You normally start with two 1s, and then add the last two numbers, and bet that amount.

Hers is an illustration of the sequence:

So if your previous bet was 8, and lost, you would add the 5 + 8 = 13, and bet 13 units on the next bet. Using this sequence as a roulette strategy when you win on an even money bet, then you are guaranteed to make a profit.

The D’Alembert System

The D’Alembert System is a progressive roulette strategy just like the Martingale and Fibonacci Systems. You bet on even money bets again for this system, however, the bets only increase by 1 unit at a time.

For example, lets assume you are betting £1, if this loses, then bet £2, then again, if this loses bet £3, and again, if this loses bet £4. Lets say the bet of £4 then wins, you then reduce the bet size by 1 unit to £3 and carry on with this method.

The D’Alembert System really works well when you have a winning streak, and drastically reduces the increments of the bet sizes compared to both the Martingale and Fibonacci Systems.

Roulette Strategy Conclusion

These are 3 great betting strategies to incorporate into playing Roulette, and they can also be used while playing Lightning Roulette, but you will not get any of the boosted multipliers as they only apply to straight up number bets and not outside bets.

Just remember, that in theory, no roulette strategy can beat Roulette in the long term, but these system can still work well in the short term. Keep it fun, and if starting to use any of these roulette strategies remember to try and bet as low as possible as you get used to the system.
